The History of Pizza
In the beginning, Ancient Egyptians, Romans, and Greeks ate flatbreads with toppings. Then in 1889, the legendary Raffaele Esposito invented the archetype pizza in Naples, Italy. He baked three different pizzas for the visit of King Umberto and Queen Margherita of Savoy. Today, pizza is a major industry worldwide, a lifestyle, and a passion!
